A LITTLE BIT INDUSTRIAL - A LITTLE BIT CHIC

A Wed in Waikato Styled Wedding shoot

With the aim of showing off our creative skills and having a bit of fun together before the wedding season starts, a small but mighty creative group of wedding vendors put together a styled shoot as a visual feast for your eyes. The theme? A little bit chic, a little bit industrial and a whole lot of inspiration!

On what was probably one of the wettest days of September we all gathered at Grain Exchange in Hamilton to work our collective magic. The light inside the venue is beautiful and even on a dreary day the rustic industrial feeling building was the perfect size to accommodate us all while not being too loud or echoey.

We were lucky to catch a break in the rain and ran outside to take advantage of the unique surroundings, and I’m so glad we did! A bit urban and industrial with that little peak of elegance, just perfect!

The florals and cake worked so well within the styling, holding their own against the wood, glass, concrete and rusted metal.

Another touch of understated yet beautiful elegance was the hair, makeup and gown styling, which felt fresh and pulled together - that perfect balance of chic but not uptight.

Our beautiful engaged couple, Katherine and Malakai have the most amazing connection and truly embodied our vision for this styled wedding shoot. Thank you so much for your help!
